Term 2 Art

So far in art this term I had the theme of sports promotion I had some decent ideas to go with it but my skills weren't compatible to the theme. So I changed along the lines of manga to fit in with an anime I like (Dragon Ball) So far I've wrote the key points for the story in one of the arcs. My next steps are to start drawing up characters.

Rinko Kawauchi

In this image Rinko Kawauchi has simplified a photo of a rose, but as you can see there is still a lot of detail used, the lighting ect, simple but also complex. The rose signifies beauty, even though you can’t exactly see the rose you can still get an image of it in your head.

From what I have read about this picture it was taken in Japan, Rinko Kawauchi chooses her subjects and focuses on the small details. This image was part of her first solo exhibition,If i am correct the exhibition is called “Illuminance”. I believe this image is also held in the Tokyo Museum of Photography

Neil Leifer

In this image Neil Leifer has taken quite a remarkable photo, plus the event that took place, Here we see Muhammad Ali triumphing over his opponent. Neil has also captured the expressions on the audiences faces. In This iconic picture Muhammad Ali is reacting to his first round knockout against Sonny Liston in the world heavyweight title. If I’m correct Ali shouts, “Get Up and Fight!”

Neil Leifer said “I was obviously in the right seat, but what matters is I didn’t miss,”. Leifer had taken that ringside spot in Lewiston, Maine, on May 25, 1965, as 23-year-old heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali squared off against 34-year-old Sonny Liston. This image is known across the world as one of the best photographs in sporting history.

My Folio for my level 1 art piece is based on sports promotion, I have chosen photography and drawing to express my images. so far I don't have as much as I would like too. But I'm making the board one of my priorities. The artist that Have influenced me into the sports Promotion theme were Rinko Kawauchi & Neil Liefer.

Passion Project

Today I am helping to make the sand, and hokey pokey for our set. We are hoping to put everything together and take photos, ready to present next week.

Horror Camping Trip

Skrrt Skrrt the sound of the cars tyres screeching around the corner, Ounce Ounce Dub WubWubWub the dubstep blasting out the speakers. My mates and I are on our way to a camping trip to one of our special spots, it's currently summer so of course it'd be the lake. We get closer and closer to our destination but then my stomach lets out the biggest growl as if it was a leopard, I ask the backseat snack co-ordinater to pass some food up front. As time passed we eventually made it to the cabin in the woods.
