Uc Garden Visit
On Friday the 24th of November, Tawhiri, Ethan, and I visited The University Of Canterbury's Community Garden and helped out. We also learnt how to maintain a garden.
We learnt it's best to separate specific plants from others and shift them around every year or so to prevent diseases. Take out dead plants and put them in the compost bin so they can decompose
It was a pretty fun experience, if you ever need advice or just want to help out I would suggest visiting them.
Our Action: Visiting the garden
Outcome: Learning how to maintain a garden
Enablers: Teachers letting us go

The topic my group (Tawhiri & Ethan) and I have chosen is Poverty. We think we can make a change and help Nz families who are struggling to provide food. It is a big problem in New Zealand and is affecting hundreds of families. We have come up with the idea of making an orchard in the land the council is not using for example The Red Zone and plant fruits and Vegetables for families in need of food. So our goal is to get the council to lend us some land and get it operational
